Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Verification and Validation Studies for the Wellpads & LWA on the Tilenga Project.
The Tilenga Project, being developed by Total E&P Uganda B.V. and its partners, is part of the Lake Albert Development in Uganda. The project comprises multiple well pads, a Central Processing Facility (CPF), flowlines, pipelines, produced water re-injection facilities, operational support infrastructure, lake water abstraction facilities, and a Nile River crossing. The produced crude oil will be transported through the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) to the Tanzanian coast.
The scope of this study covers the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Verification and Validation of the Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) identified during the LOPA studies.. The study primarily utilizes Total’s GRIF software for SIL Verification and exSILentia for independent SIL Validation, ensuring that the implemented Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) achieve the required risk reduction in accordance with the project functional safety requirements.
